Pre-sorting
Over forty different types in the first sorting phase
In the first phase of the sorting process, pre-sorting, the bags of textiles arrive just as the consumer has discarded them.
In this phase, the sorter considers what type of textile is involved. For example, household textiles, linen, sweaters, pants, children’s clothing, belts, bags or shoes. In this department, the textiles are subdivided into approximately 40 different types. Clothing that is as good as new is already separated from the rest.
We have 2 production lines in pre-sorting with 10 sorting tables per line. The production capacity during complete occupancy and optimal sorting is 55,000 kilos per day.
